Bethlehem Night

Warm incense right up front, soft and a little smoky. Then amber, a little sweet. Then fresh fir at the very end, like somebody just carried the tree in from the cold.

It's late on Christmas Eve. Everybody's finally asleep, the house is quiet, and you stop at the window for a minute before bed. Clear sky. One star brighter than all the rest.

Deep and calm, but never heavy. The quietest night of the year.
